Crafted shortlisted for "IT Innovation of the Year"

Alongside our client Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT), we've beaten off stiff competition to emerge as finalists at this year’s Financial Sector Technology (FST) Awards, along with AIG and ING. Shortlisted for our work on JLT’s Business Insurance Services (JLT BIS) website, we're in with a chance of taking home the title of ‘IT Innovation of the Year’ at the awards ceremony on 31st March 2011.

Uniquely, the JLT BIS website enables small businesses, who are unfamiliar with what their insurance requirements might be, to define likely insurance policies using an integrated “I’m a” function.

As users begin typing in their trade or profession, likely matches appear in a drop down menu, making it incredibly easy to define suitable insurance products. Designed by Crafted, the tool draws upon a matrix of over 1,500 trades ensuring that practically every customer profile is covered.

Of particular interest to the judges will be our focus on the dedicated content management system, which has enabled JLT BIS to respond swiftly to the rapidly changing insurance industry.

Fancy being shortlisted for Retail Website of the Year!

Our innovative website design and build for leading online costume retailer All Fancy Dress has been shortlisted for Retail Systems’ Retail Website of the Year Award. We've been selected alongside leading retailers, including LK Bennett and Carpetright.

All Fancy Dress has been picked from a pool of national entries due to the high degree of innovation in the technology behind its website. The winning entry, which will be announced on 28th October at Grosvenor Hotel in London, recognises the development and growth of online retail.

Key to the website’s success has been Crafted's deployment of intelligent and flexible search marketing, together with the development, integration and ongoing evolution of bespoke content and stock management systems. This enables the site to handle large volumes of traffic whilst meeting customer demands. Since our partnership with the retailer, All Fancy Dress has seen a year-on-year business growth of 40%.

Crafted designed insurance website wins multiple industry awards

We're pleased to announce that a Crafted designed website for JLT Business Insurance Services has just scooped several internet industry awards. 

JLT Business Insurance Services is one of the UK’s largest providers of bespoke insurance services to small and medium-sized enterprises. Its website uses a blend of focused content and images to advertise their products to potential clients.

The successful website was recently recognised as ‘Site of the Year’ for its use of the Kentico content management system. 

In addition to the Site of the Year award, the website scooped the “Outstanding Achievement” award in both the Insurance and Financial Services categories of the Interactive Media Awards. The IMA awards were established in 2005 to recognise the highest standards of excellence in web design and development.

JLT BIS nominated for Kentico “Best Site of the Year Award”

JLT BIS, which provides business insurance services to small and medium sized enterprises, has been nominated for Kentico’s “Best Site of the Year Award”. JLT has been selected for its highly effective use of Kentico’s content management system on its website, implemented by Crafted's development team.

We chose the Kentico system as it matched the core requirements needed by JLT and offered a powerful search engine optimisation platform that many of its competitors did not.
